Ampere Time specializes in selling high quality LiFePO4 batteries, providing the most cost effective batteries for those who need them.
Our batteries can be used for both RV and home energy storage, and they can be implemented by combining solar panels and inverters.
During the sales process, we have encountered many questions asked by our customers. Among them, I wonder if there is a question: how many ways to charge LiFePO4?
Then, we will share three ways to charge the battery with a 12v 100ah battery as an example for reference .
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Solar Panel with PV Module --- Save your electricity bill!
Recommended power: ≥300W
To charge a battery with ≥300W solar panels, the duration and intensity of direct sunlight is a major factor in charging efficiency and may take more than a day to fully charge.
Solar power systems are designed to be used with PV modules.Solar power systems are designed to be used with PV modules. The PV system converts the electricity generated by the PV module (DC) through a PCS into usable electricity in the home (AC), which can then be used, stored or sold.
The purchase price of PV power is decreasing every year, while the price of electricity is increasing. The cost of electricity is also known as a "lifetime loan" that will last as long as you live. From now on, you can generate electricity by storing solar power in our batteries and use the stored power for use at night without waste. Assuming more than 4.5 hours of sunlight per day and using more than 300W solar panels, the battery can be fully charged in one day under normal circumstances.
2. Charger ---Convenient and quick choice! (12v100ah for example)
☆Recommend Charging Voltage: Between 14.2V to 14.6V
☆Recommended Charging Current:
40A(0.2C) | The battery will be fully charged in around 5hrs to 100% capacity. |
100A(0.5C) | The battery will be fully charged in around 2hrs to 97% capacity. |
Tips:
① Connect the charger to the battery first, and then to the grid power.
② It's recommended to disconnect the charger from the battery after fully charging.
A charger and a battery are a perfect combination! Charger refers to a device that converts AC power into DC power. It is a current converter that uses power electronic semiconductor devices to convert AC power with fixed voltage and frequency into DC power. The charger has a wide range of application scenarios in power usage where the battery is the working power source or backup power source. When charging a battery with a charger, be sure to choose a charger with the right specifications according to the charging instructions of the battery and connect it correctly.
Unlike solar panels and road chargers, they do not require complex wiring and can be used to charge batteries at any time as long as there is a household power supply. We recommend choosing a charger specifically for LiFePO4 batteries. Ampere Time also offers chargers for 12V and 24V systems.
For 12V 100ah batteries we recommend the 14.6V 20A LiFePO4 battery charger, which is designed for lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. It enables 90% high charging efficiency for lithium (LiFePO4) iron phosphate battery charging.
3. Generator--- Power the battery multiple times! (12v100ah for example)
LiFePO4 batteries can be charged by an AC generator or an engine and require a DC to DC charger connected between the battery and the AC generator or engine.
☆Recommend Charging Voltage: Between 14.2V to 14.6V
☆Recommended Charging Current:
40A(0.2C) | The battery will be fully charged in around 5hrs to 100% capacity. |
100A(0.5C) | The battery will be fully charged in around 2hrs to 97% capacity. |
A generator is a device that converts kinetic energy or other forms of energy into electrical energy. The general generator is through the prime mover first all kinds of primary energy contained in the energy converted into mechanical energy, and then through the generator into electrical energy, and finally transmission to the battery, to achieve the effect of charging.

Have you learned the above three charging methods?
For the correct charging mode of lithium batteries, the main thing is to do when charged, full can be the principle. Mastering the correct way of charging, to a certain extent, can reduce the damage to the battery.
